Melanie Kirby is a Fulbright-National Geographic Storytelling Fellow researching the mating behavior of endemic honey bees with RFID (radio frequency identification devices).
Melanie will give students a short presentation about bees, filled with behind-the-scenes stories about what makes them important to the environment and to different cultures. She’ll then answer YOUR questions, which can be submitted live in the chat bar. This event is recommended for student groups in grade K-2.
#ExplorerClassroom is for everyone! All events are free.
There are two ways to participate in the virtual event, as a featured class on screen or watching live on YouTube. If space is available, you may request to be a featured class during the registration process.
