About this Event

Melanie Kirby is a Fulbright-National Geographic Storytelling Fellow researching the mating behavior of endemic honey bees with RFID (radio frequency identification devices).

Melanie will give students a short presentation about bees, honey, and heritage--filled with behind-the-scenes stories about what makes bees so important to the environment and to different cultures. She’ll then answer YOUR questions, which can be submitted live in the chat bar.

This event is recommended for middle school students and is also offered at 2:00pm Eastern; please register for the event that works best for your class!
