Frequently Asked Questions

Impact & Outcomes

We deliver a one-of-a-kind, world-class storytelling transformation for organizations ready to maximize their impact. Leveraging a 138-year legacy, our award-winning National Geographic Explorers lead 1- and 3-day immersive in-person workshops that equip your team to turn complex subjects into compelling, human-centered narratives that drive action. This is the only storytelling workshop in the world that brings the field-tested Explorer Mindset directly to your team, bridging the gap between information and influence.

Our workshops are exclusively designed for established professional teams and organizations—such as corporations, nonprofits, and academic institutions—looking to disrupt and level up the conventional storytelling on their team. Since our approach involves high-touch coaching and solving specific organizational storytelling challenges, we do not offer individual enrollment at this time. We deliver hands-on training by traveling to you to deliver workshops on-site. Or, we invite you to have an immersive experience at the National Geographic Society’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., alongside the launch of the Museum of Exploration.

Each participant leaves with a refined, compelling foundational story to spark action in their targeted audience—whether that’s internal or external stakeholders. By the end of the workshop, your team will have learned the National Geographic approach to storytelling to transform your storytelling culture. This is about shortening the cycle from story to buy-in by storytelling outside the box—with empathy, authenticity, and an Explorer Mindset.

The National Geographic Advantage

Rather than corporate facilitators, our trainers are National Geographic Explorers—award-winning photographers, filmmakers, and storytellers who have mastered the art of storytelling in the world’s most high-pressure environments. Backed by a 138-year legacy of storytelling, they bring that same field-tested rigor to your organization. National Geographic Explorers are doers, disruptors and changemakers who teach how to translate complex ideas into compelling, concise and memorable narratives that drive results and move audiences to action. They don’t just teach storytelling — they live it.

National Geographic storytellers don’t just teach theory; they share a field-tested, proven framework honed over a 135+ year legacy of world-class narrative excellence. Unlike traditional workshops, we provide an immersive experience where your team learns through practical applications, live demos, and by crafting their own stories—coached directly by our National Geographic Explorers. These award-winning experts train your team to combine accuracy, authenticity, and empathy to make complex topics accessible, concise, and compelling to varied audiences. This is the only storytelling workshop in the world that brings real-world expertise of National Geographic Explorers directly to your team.

Storytelling for impact is about human connection. We’ll help your team find their most compelling human-centered narrative by applying the National Geographic framework to your strategic goals. You bring the objective; we provide the lens and the tools to make it stick.
